Alongside our monthly donation to @bloodygoodperiod, we found some other charities to donate to that were really in need last year!⁠⁠

⁠⁠

We were particularly troubled by the struggles in Afghanistan in August - we donated to the Afghanistan Crisis, particularly to help women and girls affected by the violence.⁠⁠

In November we donated to #teamseas with every subscriber box for that month. As many of you know, we are dedicated to doing our bit for the environment and felt cleaning up the oceans was a great place to start. @teamseas⁠⁠

We have always loved the work that WEN @wen_uk (The Women's Environmental Network) does for so many women to tackle issues of gender, health and the environment. We can't wait to continue working with them into the future.⁠⁠

jade moss music press release

Having received airplay on Jazz FM, BBC Bristol, BBC London, BBC Leeds and countless more in the UK and beyond, Jade Moss is now getting ready to release her second single “Only U” this time she’s creating a “Neo-Vintage” music video concept to match. (Think photographer “Miles Aldridge” mixed in with cinematic “Tarantino vibes”)

Having made her name as a fearless entrepreneur in the world of fashion and textiles - her music career looks to continue this trend, wowing audiences with her mix of nostalgia, glamour and attitude. Her video will be the perfect introduction to an artist who never takes ‘no’ for an answer.

Video Concept

Location: Eaton House, Colchester

The house is set out more like an art installation, with each room having it's own theme.

The concept for the ‘Only U’ video is a surreal perfect family, living in the perfect pink house! Wife, perfect husband and perfect daughter (Jade’s daughter Blue). Everything in the house is surreal, it’s almost fake - A Neo vintage, bright and idealistic life - think of Miles Aldridge photography style - yet there is an underlying uncertainty and strangeness about the set up…almost eerie. All exuberantly dressed, with beautiful hair and makeup. Each of Jade’s amazing outfits will match and almost blend in with each room.

The husband will look like 1950’s-1960s, Think Donald draper from Madmen - and Blue will have beautifully perfectly stiff flicked up hair - also very 50s/60s mixed with contemporary modern.

However, when Jade is alone, the cracks begin to show. Jade starts to daydream about the man that she let get away - her true love. The imagery will switch to be more natural and dreamlike - less plastic, fake and surreal.

The moral is that we spend our lives accumulating material possessions, and trying to achieve a perfect life, but at the end of the day all these thing don’t bring happiness - not like a real love does

More About Jade

At the age of 18, Jade traded her hometown in Yorkshire for the heart of London, determined to make her mark. She unleashed her creative soul in designing clothes and even opened her own boutiques, travelling the world and taking inspiration from everywhere she went. Her designs have featured in major high street stores as well as huge online retailers, mixing old retro design with colourful contemporary fashions to create a look entirely her own.

She has brought this mindset to her music, already aware of her raw and unique singing voice, Jade rediscovered her true purpose after the birth of her daughter, Blue.

The music that I write is about my experiences with love, joy, strength and the importance of self-worth”.

Influenced by Etta James, Grace Jones, Lauren Hill and many more, the catchy melodies and lyrics that stuck in Jade’s head translated well when recording her songs.

Her style is described as an eclectic arty mix-up between the 1980’s and 1940’s, giving off retro vibes. This original sound brings her emotional, real life heartbreak stories to life with warm jazzy vocals that hug the soul.
